2011 Winner in CBC Business Achievement Award

CORDELTA BEATS STRONG FIELD TO SECURE TOP BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The diversity and success of Canberra’s business community was celebrated at the Canberra Business Council’s Annual Gala Dinner on the 3 November culminating in the awarding of the 2011 Business Achievement Award to Cordelta Pty Ltd.

Cordelta was recognised for the growth it has achieved since its inception in 2004. Initially established as a two-person consulting practice, it now employs over 150 staff around Australia.
Headquartered in Canberra, Cordelta is a respected professional services firm known for its high-quality consulting, implementation and resourcing capabilities. It helps clients derive more value and longevity from their management, technology and people.

Cordelta is also officially a great employer, with the BRW ranking it 11th overall in its 2011 Best Places to Work list.
Canberra Business Council Chair, Mr Brand Hoff, congratulated Cordelta on its win, particularly in light of the exceptionally strong field of contenders for this year’s Business Achievement Award.

“Each of the finalists demonstrated that Canberra is home to world-class, innovative businesses,” Mr Hoff said. “What was really great to see was the wide diversity of industries in which each of our finalists has achieved success – this is a good sign for the ACT economy".

“Nominees came from the health, recruitment, education and training and manufacturing sectors, through to information and online payment security businesses.”

The other finalists were: GPSports Systems, Recruitment Systems, Shaw Vineyard Estate, QuintessenceLabs, Kord Defence, HDM Metal, Australian Business Academy ,Noetic ,eWay, and Radpharm Scientific

“The Business Achievement Awards prove that local businesses have the capacity to compete on the world-stage,” Mr Hoff said. “It is important that the government and industry continue to work together to support business development to ensure the ongoing success of existing firms and see more companies calling Canberra home in the future.

“It was wonderful to see so many local business people and invited guests at the CBC Gala Dinner last night taking the opportunity to network and reflect on their achievements over the past 12 months.

“The evening was attended by 490 people including ACT and Federal representatives, members of the diplomatic corps and ACT business leaders.”
